Being part of The Global Health Network provides ALERRT with a plethora of other useful tools from The Global Health Network, which are briefly outlined below:

Professional Membership Scheme

Created by The Global Health Network and WHO-TDR, this is a flexible framework, which lists all the competencies that should be demonstrated by a research team to carry out a successful clinical study.

The framework can be applied to any clinical research study, regardless of the size of the team, place, disease focus and type of research. Together with its supporting tools, the framework can be used to plan staffing requirements for a study, to carry out appraisals of staff, to guide career development, and to create educational curricula for research staff.

Global Health Training Centre

Provides free eLearning courses in a wide range of topics including:

The Training Centre also hosts a Professional Membership Scheme, which tracks trialists’ professional progress over time, e-Seminars on a wide range of topics, and many helpful tools and resources.

The Research Initiation Process Map

A roadmap and toolkit assisting researchers in navigating the processes involved when initiating a new study, and providing useful guidance and tools for each step.

SiteFinder

An interactive database of research sites working in global health, and allows research sites to profile their teams’ experience and facilities to enable them to find new research collaborations. Sponsors or those planning new studies can also enter the study details into SiteFinder, allowing sites to register their interest in taking part.
